 I know, I know... Long time no blogging. But, really, I have been a little bit busy with the Golfin' Around TV shows and other projects. The season is nearly coming to a wrap but I have just returned from Biloxi, MS, home to several great courses to be featured on the show.
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and shot The Preserve Golf Club and Grand Bear (a Jack Nicklaus designed course). Southern courses use Bermuda grass instead of bent grass because of the heat. When you get off the fairway your ball tends to disappear, the grass just sucks it up and curls around the ball. It requires a lot of different playing skills. The service and course was fantastic at The Preserve. I looked for the gators that lived on this hole at Grand Bear, but just couldn't find them...
 The scene from the balcony at the Hard Rock was of the shrimping boats at the dock. Very cool, don't swim off the dock, the bull sharks will eat you.
Biloxi is now just re-opening after Katrina devastated the area. People focus on New Orleans, they forget there was a whole other area that was wiped out, too. Mississippians are very proud they're returning on their own.
And Elvis would have wanted it that way.
