Swilcam Bridge St. Andrews ScotlandGolf has now taken me and the camera all over the world. Aside from Aruba (which was really beautiful), golf has led me to its home in St. Andrews, Scotland. Established in the 1400's, the "Old Course" was breathtaking to say the least. Two days of tournaments were played on the Torrence and Devlin courses at the Fairmont at St. Andrews for the International Pairs. I met South Africans, Irish, Scots, Nigerians, Welsh, Brits, Canadians, Filipinos, and of course, Americans.

Next stop was Carnoustie, home of the 2007 British Open, or just "The Open," as they call it. The rough in Scotland is really rough, I must admit. I lost almost a case of golf balls to the high grass and water hazards on the courses I played.

After that, Panmure Golf Club, one of the qualifying courses for The Open, the 16th Oldest Golf Club in Scotland, and home course for Calum Todd, golf course designer extraordinaire.

A great trip, but now back to life in Pennsylvania...
